Bouquets for Gloria Rose

Gloria Rose was considering a one-woman show in New York. Considering being the operative word. Is there really an audience for a discussion of culture, food, Africa, literature, international travel, decorating and aesthetics? Perhaps, perhaps not. Does she have a producer? Does she really need one? Perhaps, perhaps not. Usually one-woman shows are reflections on how rotten life has treated some poor has-beens or never-weres. Rose doesn't fit either bill. She is, by her own admission, expressive. Her voice has a soothing quality to it. It sounds as though it could recite ghazals in one breath. She has also considered adding songs to her proposed one-woman show as well as a touch of Elizabethan poetry. "Elizabethan poetry is simply lovely with its graceful and soaring phrases. At its best, it just takes me away. It makes me forget all that hurts me."
When asked about her own heritage, Rose is cryptic. "A touch of this, and pinch of that." Then more seriously, she asks politely, "What makes you think I know who all is up in my family tree?" Her mouth is shaped exquisitely. Her dark hair frames her face well. Her dark eyes are both enormous and sensuous. Her hands could belong either to a surgeon on a princess with their long fingers and ultra smooth skin. She is confident, yet approachable. She flashes her megawatt smile with charm.
Perhaps Rose will collaborate with someone who can make her more entertainment (read marketing) friendly.
